Danny Glover sopke Curran's ECLIPSED student matinee on March 15th for a powerful post-show dedication to kidnapped and missing girls from the school in Chibok, Northern Nigeria, infamously taken by the Boko Haram years prior-and many of whom are missing til this day. It was a thrilling moment and beautiful message to the Bay Area's young students but also sobering. ECLIPSED is a play that cele...

Courtney Love sings Todd Almond's "All I Ever Wanted"
I feel a certain bruskness to Joel that I don't like on a base level, this is purely relating to others in interviews, but he's very honest. When he feels something is off kilter, like the moment where he said "cheap" or when the interviewer nearly suggested schadenfreude at Fosse hurting himself, he didn't stand for it. No. I respect him as one of the most established stage artists of the 20th century. And still. The breadth of work is astounding.
She is still awesome. ❤
Oh heck, he made me bawl again! This guy is such a revelation, so much love and generosity, so honest and open, yet such an explosion of talent. Those Mennonites really did right by him.
Much obliged.
For those that want to hear a trash can sing....her she is
I don’t know when it became acceptable to publicly discuss childhood sexual encounters. And the interviewer almost seems aroused by it. 🤮
jonathan groff love fans
This makes me wanna find Courtney and tell her she’s gonna be a grandma as a prank. 😂
God her voice just grates on my nerves. She cannot stay on key
How disrespectful to Maryanne Faithful to compare Courtney to her. Talentless, rude, classless, and overall gross. I believe she got pregnant and married Kurt I order to be set for life whether they stayed together or divorced. I do not ascribe to the other conspiracy theories. Also, who thinks Hole is a good band other than overseas, where they also believed Meghan Markle was a great American actress before her cover was blown. Again, imo , she sucked the sweetness right out of Kurt in all ways. She is fakeness personified.
First this stupid cokehead shades PJ for not subscribing to her braindead "riot girl" movement and now she attempts a dogshit cover of one of her songs? get tf out of here Courtney and return to rehab
All was well till she started singing! I was obsessed with her as a teen and now i can’t stand her voice it’s terrible and I can’t believe she gets work as a singer on tv seriously, like on empire she played a retired songstress
My aunt was a lesbian around the 1940s. RIP i understand what hes saying
I would love to know what PJ Harvey thought of this! I so agree with her on PJ Harvey and the humility of Courtney who is after all one of the most iconic female artists of all time is a credit to her devotion to music before even her own rock star ego, which we know is no shrinking violet.
I miss old SF.
Good lord, this cover is ass.
Sorry, I'm all for Courtney paying tribute to PJ but I think she just picked the wrong tune. Meet Ze Monsta would have suited her voice and style best.
amazing....totally!
She's not even fit to polish Polly's Jean's shoes.
I like pj but its shocking how most of her fans dont even realize that courtney is more popular for a reason
It is shocking how you don't realize that Courtney has been irrelevant since the 90's, dropping critically panned material that got such negative reception she basically retired from music while PJ continues to put out acclaimed material to this day. It is shocking that you claim Courtney is so popular and yet she has not won 2 mercury prizes like PJ, nor is she thought of as one of the greatest female alternative artists of all time like PJ is. It is shocking that you don't realize that PJ Harvey is a far more revered and respected figure in music than Courtney. It is shocking that you don't realize that "popularity" has nothing to do with covering a song well.
@@Rings-of-Saturn2 do you know that Spotify listeners exist?
@@d0llparts499 Did you know that is irrelevant to good music or respect from your peers? PJ Harvey was a far more acclaimed and influential female artist when she came onto the scene than Courtney who spiraled out of control and started putting out mediocre albums. Ed Sheeran has more monthly listeners than Courtney Love, I suppose that makes him a better artist in your idiotic opinion?
What was he playing out at the end
From a Normal Heart thru today, I've been a fan.
Been smoke free 5 months. Hope others can quit too. Courtney will fight it. Om Nama Shivaya 🌻
she sounds great
yikes!
This is gorgeous.
How is the Emcee character demonic and a betrayer?
The tension worked obviously.
God please come soon and put an end to all this disgusting perversion overtaking America.
How magnificent life imitates art...and vise versa!! It's a acting metaphor of what the imagination can display for audiences!! I looooovvveee the emcee!! And Joel grey!! Love kenny 🌹🤙😎
I just finished my umpteenth rewatch of this series and it really holds a special place in my heart. I remember being so upset when it was cancelled, but grateful that we got a movie to wrap up the series in a way that it deserved. After my recent watch I realized that there’s something succinct and beautiful about the two seasons and the way the movie perfectly ties it all together. With time, I’ve come to appreciate this amazing series, albeit short, that I can binge over two days. So, it all worked out. Next year makes ten years since it debuted, I’d love to see the cast get together for an round table long form interview ❤
This makes me sooo sad. And look at who and what he was surrounded by all of his adult life. At least we have Jennifer, who’s both beautiful and talented. I’m glad Joel finally came out publicly. Congratulations! Happy Pride!!
It’s sad that it took him so long to come out. I mean, hello, he was surrounded by gays in the theater. As if we didn’t know in Cabaret.
"And it's Joel Grey". You can tell those words left their mark on him. That would have given him the confidence he needed to play the role as brilliantly as he did, despite having tensions with Fosse. He and his daughter both got to play in roles of a lifetime, immortalised forever through iconic cinema.
Very courageous of Joel to criticize the late Bob Fosse. He should write down all of his accolades and then Bob's... he'd be holding a sticky note in one hand and a 10 page two sided brief in the other.
Fosse was a troubled and abusive man
Also, PJ and Courtney are polar opposites in personality.
¡CÓMO HAN PASADO LOS AÑOS Y SIGUES SIENDO GRANDIOSO JOEL NOS RETORNAS AL TIEMPO DE LOS BUENOS ESPECTÁCULOS! ¡ GRACIAS! JOEL ! MEXICO CDMX MMXX111
Very sincere person with such beautiful unique voice, brilliant future ahead of you🎉🎉🎉
which episode of SVU is about her???
booooo !
Ouch
Bring the camera in on Courtney! Check the lighting!!!!!!!!!!
Quit calling her a widow you
Courtney looks really good...
People will go to great lengths to defend trust fund mediocrity…she sounds toothless and like she has a stuffy nose at the same time
What on earth did I just hear, this is awful, off pitch key etc, it is a tragedy
Joel was magical…he wasn’t in enough Movies…he lit up the screen…
he is such a genuine man
Didn’t she have a problem with pj at one point? Embarrassing
